Great Republic Clipper Sketched by Frank Braynard

OK Lazyboy travelers buckle up! Going back in time to the days of the clippers. And this postcard says this one was the largest of all clippers.

This postcard took me back in time to my ol Batimore days when there was the clipper ship in the harbor. I hadn't kept up with its history and was surprised to lots that has happened since I saw it wayyyy long ago:

OK Marylanders Remember the Sunday Car Rides Out Route 40??

Ok Lazyboy postcard travelers we are going back in time and back to my birth state Maryland. Route 40 is still there. And it still goes through Baltimore and on out west to where these pics on both sides of the 8 panels are or were. Wonder how many of these places are still there. I remember the Sunday car rides full of family and fun checking out the "country" which is what we city folks called route 40 out past the Ellicott City area! And more recently the trips that took us out 40 to connect with the interstates south through Virginia on the western side of Virginia. For those we did travel way west on 40 and it is still really rural and beautiful!
