Would You Like to Have Grown Up in Hyde Park NY?

The back of the postcard states the family played, read and entertained here in this spacious room. Wonder what games they played, what books they read and who they entertained. You remember, Downsizers, before tvs and computers LIFE WAS REALLY DIFFERENT and simple. The room is beautiful. We want to see Niagara Falls. That is on our bucket list. Maybe this would be another interesting NY stop!

Fog and San Francisco Transamerica Building Nice Pic!

Nice pic postcard travelers!

About 4 inches by about 6 inches.   Unused.  Not new.   Photo by Philip Coblentz 1988..  Smith Novelty Co..
Selling all my thousands of postcards collection individually or in lots online until they are all gone. Their ages vary. I have a lot of postcards going up for sale that I originally bought online labeled 1950's -70's. But I also have  postcards that came out of family houses where the people lived for 50 and 68  years and I also bought many at estate auctions through the years.

Back in time to California and the Cable Cars Check out Cars and Outfits!

About 4 inches by about 6 inches.   Unused.  Not new. Scalloped edges. Photo Courtesy Pan American Airways. Dexter Press. Smith Novelty co.. The colors in the front remind me of the old "colorized" black and white movies on tv. Check out the cars and the people's clothes.

The usual "not new" conditions exist of  surface & corner/edgewear and  age discoloration on the backs of the older postcards that go with their ages. The back of this particular postcard has stained darker around the edges than most.
Great for post card collectors, card makers, crafters and/or scrap bookers.

Cable Cars & Alcatraz!

Ok postcard travelers, buckle up your Lazyboy! Off across the country. I have never been to California but I have taught its geography and history so many years in 5th grade. I would love to see it! My mother the traveler said it was so hard to get there to settle there you had to be crazy to try it and if you weren't  you would be by the t ime you got there! And that is why so many crazy things happen out there!
So funny! She really liked it there! San Francisco is definitely an area I would like to see!

Loved Him Then... Love Him Now!.... E.T.!

So much fun to go to the movies and see this little guy! Hard to believe all the years have passed since we took our kids to see this movie. They even had an E.T. stuffed animal that was so cool! Wonder what ever happened to it. Never had seen one since in all the flea markets and antique stores since then. The little actors in this movie were so good!

Loved Him Then... Love Him Now! No.2

Ahhh! Bill Haley and the Comets on our 45s and this guy James Dean in the movies! Even though we were only dopey teenagers then we knew things were changing in this ol world!

Of course Rebel without A Cause was awesome but MY FAVORITE was his role in the movie GIANT with Elizabeth Taylor and Rock Hudson!!!!! So much talent and so little time.
